“All these conservative and right movements must wake up and understand one basic fact: gays were born gays, and even if any of them would love to become straight they can’t change the nature! Homosexuality is not a social disease. Those who think it is either are illiterate or have bad intentions of subordinating everything and everyone. Homophobia is a plague to be stopped unless it spreads all around the world. Aren’t there any bigger problems?” Are we really in the third wave?

Strange infatuation seems to grace the evening tide.
I’ll take it by your side.
Such imagination seems to help the feeling slide.
I’ll take it by your side.
Instant correlation sucks and breeds a pack of lies.
I’ll take it by your side.
Oversaturation curls the skin and tans the hide.
I’ll take it by your side.

Freo: Beloved

tompalmer
Tom G. Palmer

“Let us not, then, confuse freedom with ability, capability, knowledge, virtue,
health, or wealth. Let us hold up a standard of freedom, expressed in clear and precise
terms, not modified by misleading adjectives, and promote that standard to the public,
in the knowledge that with freedom – because of freedom – we enjoy prosperity,
peace, dignity, knowledge, health, and so many other benefits.” Tom G. Palmer

Allegiance

Tell me do you really think you go to hell for having loved?
Tell me and not for thinking everything that you’ve done is good
After soaking the body of Jesus Christ in blood
I may just never see you again or might as well
You took advantage of a world that loved you well

Tough Row to Hoe

jddragan

JD Dragan

“Some black observers who do not know me may think that I am just another white man trying to exploit the black man. These concepts could not be farther from the truth. Granted, if you grew up in this country, you were influenced by racism. My challenge remains to portray the men in my images in such a way that they can be accepted as simply men by all ethnically diverse people. I want everyone to see the beauty I see when I look at my prints and not the color of my skin or theirs. This is a tough row to hoe in the United States.” And why is it so hard?

I am just “happy”

Lance Bass

“When most people come out, they deal with it out of the public eye, and they start getting educated about it. Me, I had 24 hours to say what I had to say on a subject I had no clue about… It was a very normal phrase among my circle of friends—and they’d always say, ‘You’re such a SAG’ — a straight-acting gay. So I reveal that to People magazine, and it looks like I created this phrase and [that] I’m trying to start this movement that you should be straight-acting if you’re gay. It’s just dumb!” Lance Bass
